Yeldon got just as many (or maybe even more) first half carries as EL.
He didn't.

Also, roughly 42% of Yeldon's carries occurred when 'bama was up by more than 15 points.

Gurley scared the hell out of me in the seccg. Guy was carrying multiple defensive players.

I'm going to date myself a little here, but is your quote from Lonesome Dove?

His game-winning score in the biggest regular season game of the year cancels one of those out. The other can i live with.

So less than half? How many of EL's came when we were up 15?

Also, the first half carries stat has already been addressed and responded to in this thread. Keep up.

shite...Bama was up by 15 in most games 1/2 way thru the 1st qtr anyway, so that stat is iffy...

That was a screen, not a rush. Might as well be a rush, but its not recorded as such, and thus it is a poor example.

I know, but I am just saying that he made up for his mistake. That was my point.

Collins will be good but Jonathon Williams looked great last year and has added 15 pounds. He'll be one of the league's top 10 rushers, IMO. If he stays healthy...

Bama was up by 15 very quickly in many of their games. This is a stupid stat. No more valid than the % of carries Mason got when Auburn was down 15, which I'm sure was a pretty high %.

37 more at first glance seems significant but over 14 games that's less than 3 carries a game, basically EL got one more series in the first half. Hardly a significant amount and anyone who's using it as a slight against TJ is probably an Aubie with hurt feelings.

Seemed like it was worth him asking you since you appear to have an encyclopedic knowledge of Yeldon's stats. Calculated guess that you might have the same for Lacy. And he used the internet to ask you to boot.
