I still don't get the love for Rattler, seems his high ranking is solely based on hype coming out of high school.

I'm not sure Jaxon Dart gets the first start at Ole Miss, although I think he'll finish out as the starter.

Agree in part, although I think he'll be an upgrade at the position for South Carolina.

I mean, he wasn’t terrible at Oklahoma. He just wasn’t as good as Williams and he was a giant fricking douche

I was wondering why he has Dart and Johnson as the starters but hedges on the Auburn spot.

He was pretty bad last year, especially considering he was playing in perhaps the most QB friendly offense in the country, had several 5* level receivers at his disposal, and was playing against Big 12 defenses.

As a degenerate that plays college fantasy football I can say his stats were pretty good.

Rattler stats

They don't look good to me. Again, factoring in the spot he was in. I bet that was the worst stats of an Oklahoma QB in a long time.

He's a huge upgrade for us at QB. We literally had a grad assistant and an FCS transfer start at QB for us last year.

This is for the career. His completion % went up but yards/att and air yds/att went down.

His TD’s to INT was also worse. Again, not great but certainly not terrible.

Shane Beamer won 7 games last year with a QB room that consisted of a Grad Assistant with an extra year of eligibility, a D2 transfer and a QB converted to WR converted back to QB.

In what world are these stats bad?

Spencer Rattler 2021 stats:

Att: 187
Comp: 140
Yards: 1,483
Avg yds pgm: 296.6 yds
TD: 11
Int: 5
Comp %: 75%

He wasn't the runner that Williams was, that was the MAIN reason he was benched.

Rattler is a HUUUUUGE upgrade for South Carolina.

Scouts and other analysts types love the potential of Richardson and Levis

The qbs in the sec have gotten so much better overall

I still don’t get the hate for Rattler. He had a coach who had one foot out the door all season and called plays that would hurt SR and allow him to enter Williams. By the way Rattler was undefeated last year and Williams had 2 losses once defenses figured him out.

You now have a coach he’s familiar with and who actually wants Rattler to excel. You have the TE Stogner who played with Rattler as well.

It won’t be long and people will see a better QB in Rattler. Look back at the type plays Snake Riley was calling for Rattler, who is not the most mobile qb. Snake Riley used less running game and sent wrs all downfield with little to no short outlets. And quite a few tjmes he had 3 wrs on same side of field making it easier for defenses to cover.

Time will tell but Rattler is very accurate and if OC calls smart plays he’ll do great. He knew he’d face SEC defenses and still chose SC, have to respect Rattler for wanting to compete against best defenses in country. He could have went elsewhere and padded stats.
