Pac-12 and Big-12 teams are not eligible for this discussion. Oregon defense, LSU in 2011 hung 40 on you guys!!!! Bring that back to the MSB

Why Florida so high.

They lost their d line.

Until lsu has a bad year they gotta be ranked up there.

FSU always has plenty of talent on defense.

I can only say Bama is going to have a very strong defense again. The rest can fight for 2nd place.

Powell and Easley

I was tempted to put them there but couldn't with Mingo, Montgomery, Montgomery, Simon, Minter, Reid, eta al. Of course, I was sure that they couldn't be better in the middle of their defense after 2010. However, this year they are losing a lot production in every level.

Stanford is pretty much a lock as well. I put Florida there too obviously. After those three, it is really a crapshoot.

You think Michigan State and Stanford are going to field a better defense than John Chavis? Oh, nevermind. You're a duck fan. You don't know shite about defense.

I do know other SEC teams rosters very well and make it a point to know. Im that guy.

LSU has Rasco and Johnson as big talents on the DL but rotation wise they will be worn out in fourth qts....let alone the complete depletion of the secondary talent that meant anything.

Again...Bama lost a lot and they were not up to the hard nose defense of the 2011 team which I thought was extremely talented...so dont take this as a knock...but a statement as I see it. Bama, as I have stated before, will benefit from weak schedule....UK from the east? Really? Anyway, my guess is A&M or Bama in the SECCG.

LSU & UGA lost a lot of defense and will not be able to make it to Hotlanta first week in December as I see it.

Stanford's defense will be better than LSU's. That is my bold prediction. Just like Jordan would be Mingo's equivalent.

Btw, the Ducks will field a very good defense next year. If we were rounding out a top 10, they'd be in it.
