Honestly I think the SEC has a pretty good chance in both the LSU and Tennessee super regionals

Not the question but still funny cause you got mixed up.

Edit to add: ok it’s not location based but team based. You have got to be an engineer btw. Would bet my arse on it.

Haha

Ok so I’m ranking LSU based on the difficulty of Tennessee and Tennessee based on the difficulty of LSU? Gotcha

1. LSU (Tennessee)
2. Ole Miss (Arizona)
3. Mississippi State (Notre Dame)
4. Vanderbilt (ECU)
5. Tennessee (LSU)
6. Arkansas (NC State)

Do I think we have a chance against Tennessee? Sure, but I also think they are a really good team and I can’t honestly rate us higher than any of the national seeds left

Not an engineer btw

Don’t want to even post my ranking because Tennessee fans might get extra mad

LSU has the toughest path though

Thankfully, if we manage to get through Tennessee we have easily on paper the easiest matchup in the CWS in DBU/Virginia. Of course they will be thinking the same thing

You think Notre Dame is better than Arizona, NC State is better than ECU, and LSU is better than ECU and NC State?

I’m not saying those are awful takes just interesting opinions

I would put the Bears v Zona as hardest. Then MSU.

I really want to see how the heat affects Ole Miss.

I think Notre Dame is playing really good right now. They made a statement at their regional and state hasn’t been playing their best ball. NC State really surprised me this weekend. They are playing some fantastic baseball with a very high powered offense. Not to take away credit away from NC State and ECU, but LSU has more talent and experience... they are really hot right now.

Yea I could definitely see the argument for the way you did your ranking. Notre Dame was absolutely electric in their regional to be sure.

I think from my perspective I’m betting that NC State benefitted from the small ballpark in Ruston, and I wasn’t putting them last necessarily because I think they are the worst team in that group (I do but that’s not the reason) but also because they are playing Arkansas, and I think Arkansas will have the easiest time in that super than any of the other SEC teams.

As far as Arizona vs ND as opponents, I think both are formidable, but MSU playing at home is huge for them IMO and iirc Ole Miss hasn’t been as good away from home this year (I could be completely wrong) so that was my logic there.

I think the rest we pretty much agreed on.

We are hot but it’s only been 4 games of hotness. We’ll see if it carries over

IDK Man... NC State has batted incredibly well. We have one great starter, and the rest is really up in the air regarding each day. We may have great/good/or not.

I am a bit concerned with NC State myself. Even at home. They rake.

Field well... also.

IDK!

They definitely have good bats. Fwiw though I think y’all will absolutely smoke their pitching. And if it comes to it, Kopps can just come in both games to make sure y’all win. It wouldn’t be ideal but he would definitely do it and it would almost certainly work.

A lot of Arkansas fans and media are worried about NC State, myself included. If we play this weekend how we played last week, we are losing big time.

NC State is hot right now.

I will admit your regional performance was a good bit less overpowering than I was expecting. I really think y’all have this though. I understand that outside of Wicklander and Kopps y’all lack confidence in some of your pitching, but I do think y’all are overselling it a little bit. No one outside of them has been consistently dominant but almost none of them have been consistently bad either. As long as y’all win Friday night I think this series is absolutely in the bag. If Wicklander can’t get the W on Friday things get a bit more dicey but I still think with Kopps on call y’all will manage to pull it out
