You could not be more wrong in this opinion.
I have lived in Texas for 40+ years. I have generational friends from both schools. Other than proximity, there is nothing, and I mean NOTHING similar about the two schools, their programs, or their fan bases. If two of them are in the same room together, you can pick out the Aggie and the Horn in a matter of seconds. If there is one thing each of them agree on, its how dissimilar they are. You should need a passport to travel from College Station to Austin. If it were somehow proposed, both fanbases would agree to it, abide by it, and strictly enforce it.
And I am not just talking about the stereotypical bullshite like politics and lifestyles. Those two groups have deep seeded philosophical differences unlike anything you can imagine.
