One shitty class does not equal every year.

Well, Greene was the starter at RT going into last season, so it was reasonable to expect him to hold it down in 2011. By games 4-5, it was pretty clear he was not the answer but still tough to burn redshirts at that point. Can't fault the coaches either way.

Cooper was playing well up until his injury, then too late to waste Westerman.

I'm just saying, freshmen and sophomores [at the time] are the first to leave when a coaching change comes. They have time to transfer somewhere else, and still have the old coach's recruiting pitches still fresh in mind. I honestly don't think that its totally relevant that they were Tub's guys or if they were someone else's.

I'd be curious how many 2008 commits we still had on our team going into this season, if someone good at finding such things quickly wants to chime in.

Greene was shitty last year and probably worse this year. The offense improved dramatically after he got hurt against MSU.

IMO by not playing the young o-line, we set ourselves up for another "rebuilding" year.

He won a NC and over-performed for this year by many standards set in the preseason. I say he's good.

This is not abnormal for any senior class that came in immediately before/after a coaching change.

I counted it in a previous thread... but there were 15 players that were in the 2deep at bama in 2009 from Shula's 05/06 classes. There are 6 players in the 2deep from Tuberville's 07/08 classes.
