Rumors that Golding May be on way to Texas. Would you like him to stay or take job. Serious question, defense this year really not up to Bama standard.

Me personally wouldn't mind someone else. But whatever Saban decides is the choice.

I'm good either way. We have a ton of talent coming back so I think next year's defense is going to be pretty good no matter who is calling it.

had his defense gone up against fully rostered teams, they may not have made it to the playoffs.

Bama offense was their best defense.

If that’s the case then Sark really was the head coach the whole time.

Im kinda indifferent. Defense improved 2nd half of the season but it just seems like he just good enough not to fire but bad enough to let him walk

My thoughts also. If si were a Bama fan I def would had been uncomfortable if defense was on field and needed a stop for the win. As I said Bama offense was best defense.

We are used to a big turnover in coaching and we don’t tend to lose our minds over asst coach turnover one way or another.

Golding has been criticized some, but please don’t take Alabama fan criticism as being equivalent to what happens in other fan bases. Most Alabama fans don’t pretend to know how to judge an asst coach’s performance, or presume to know the reasons a new coach is hired. Criticism is usually directed at performance, hence “we beat ourselves.”

Last, we don’t have this belief in the mysterious magic bullet-asstcoach that suddenly transforms a pedestrian team into super-team. Perhaps it can happen, LSU last year, but at Alabama an asst coach is a cog.

I like the improvement we made throughout season. Topping it off, we held OSU to their lowest yardage output since 2017.

If Golding wants to stay I'm cool with it. He's growing into the position. If he leaves, I won't be upset because we'll likely replace him with someone better.

Charlie Strong is an analyst. If we aren't able to get Pruitt, it wouldn't hurt my feelings if he took over. Jmo.

Do not want Pruitt back under any circumstances...

Pretty much this. Golding has been average at best and Lupoi was pretty forgettable, but Alabama’s defense has been been making the same mistakes since 2018. I don’t think anyone is clambering to keep him in Tuscaloosa.

Here is a thought my friend...

I’ve disliked Pruitt since his first gig at Alabama for his lack of ethics. Remember 4 5-star recruits that got kicked off Alabama for robbing a student? Pruitt recruits... same at FSU and Ga.

He was not bad as a DC later under Saban but two more different people intellectually and ethically are hard to imagine.

Now the point... Pruitt as DC for Coach O would be a sight to behold. I would wake up early to check the latest LSU news.

As long as Saban stays we’re good. No worries.

I would rather he stayed, but it's not Pruitt heading to Tennessee level.

I’d hate it. Defense was phenomenal since the 2nd half of the UGA game and we got a bunch of guys coming back

Plus some actually year to year continuity in our coordinators would be nice
