Do they make the playoffs with 1-loss bama and Florida or Georgia.

Is there a 1 loss SEC champion? If yes, than your answer is no.

It would only be fitting that LSU beats Bama, loses the sec championship game to FL/UGA and they put Bama in the title game and leave the other 2 out. Louisiana would burn to the ground if that happened in back to back years with the saints post season last fall.

I was wondering that myself.

If UF and LSU meet. LSU being undefeated UF with one loss.

UF wins by say 7

So LSU has one loss, UF has one loss. UF lost by 14, LSU by 7 to each other. Let's just say LSU at night in a home game 7 points is a fair point differential(Vegas may say 3 but I call BS on the elite stadiums meaning that little).

I think both should get in...I mean they are clearly even teams and claiming one auto gets in because they won the second game is kind of a crock of shite to me.

It would get even more confusing...If Bama has one loss and close to LSU.

That would be a massive cluster frick. Because you know they would want LSU and Bama in there but UF can't be knocked out for either....

A 1 loss SEC non-champ has a 0.0% chance to get in over an undefeated Clemson, tOSU, or OU.

Now, if LSU or Bama lose for the first and only time in the SEC title game? Either one gets in over a 1 loss Clemson, tOSU or OU.

In that scenario it’s Florida. No question. Although conceivable that a 1 loss Bama gets in.

In the playoffs the only time a 1 loss non-conference champ got in over a Power 5 conference champ is when the conference champ had two losses (2016 - 1 loss Ohio State over 2-loss champ Penn State and 2017 - 1 loss Alabama over 2-loss champ Ohio State).

So based on the CFP committee thus far, and given that it seems HIGHLY likely that the ACC, Big 10, Big 12, and SEC will all have champs with zero or one loss, then this doesn't look like a year where a non-conference champ is getting in. Now obviously if there is a 2 loss conference champion then the committee has shown that they will potentially put a 1 loss non-champion in over them.

With that said if there was ever a year where a 1 loss conference champ could get left out in favor of a 1 loss non-conference champ it would be Clemson this year because of their schedule. However, because of that schedule they are probably going to be undefeated so a moot point.

The sentiment on this board to root for the max pain for LSU fans above all else should be studied in Psychology classes.

Depends on Ohio State, Oklahoma, Clemson. If two of them have a loss, LSU is in with 1 loss.

Would not happen. Nobody in the east can beat LSU. Only Bama has a shot, but we will get it done. LSU will be 15-0 this year.

LSU will only make the CFP if we are SEC Champions. The only thing that could change that is if there are multiple losses at Clemson, OKlahoma, and for the Big 10 Champions.
