Question for Georgia fans, part II

I asked this question last summer, 2018:
"I will preface the question with this: Mark Richt's Achilles heel was that he could not beat Alabama and Nick Saban. As preseason #1, he got destroyed in the 2008 blackout game, lost the close 2012 SEC Championship game, and then the nail in the coffin was the 2015 game in Athens that was just as bad as the 2008 loss, if not worse.
Georgia and Alabama are the overwhelming favorites to meet in Atlanta this year. Will the pressure slowly start mounting around Kirby if he loses again to Alabama this year in Atlanta? "
Now I'll ask a different question, how hot does Kirby Smart's seat get in December/January if he loses to Alabama again and then shortly after Jake Fromm departs for the NFL while everyone watches Justin Fields lead Ohio state into the playoffs?

Gonna take more than that for his seat to get hot. Also, losing to Alabama was not the reason Richt got fired. It was the complacency that plagued the program and several recruiting misses played into that.

He's still the UGA head coach if he beats Alabama in 2012 or 2015.

He wasn’t close to getting fired after 2012.
He couldn’t have beaten Alabama in 2015 because his team wasn’t talented or deep enough to do so, which is why he was fired. The Alabama loss was a symptom, not the cause.

Mark Richt & The Dawgs beat Alabama 3 times:
2002 (27-25 in Tuscaloosa)
2003 (37-23 in Athens)
2007 (26-23 in Tuscaloosa).
Kirby & The Dawgs will have their time...it'll come. Our games with Alabama have largely been very close. It's just one of those things, as annoying and aggravating as it is.

2015 unlikely given the Florida game outcome. 2012 maybe because it likely means he won a Natty against ND (which would likely have dramatically changed the narrative on the following recruiting cycles, etc).

Richt's achilles heel was roster management. By the end of 2012, we played Bama with 68 scholarship athletes (no...we were not on probation).
No pressure from fans, admin, or alumni in 2019.
Fields doesn't play for the Dawgs. He did. And he got a shitload of playing time for a backup freshman.
His lack of presence in 2020 has no impact on Smart in Athens.

You think that's the case and then you look up and LSU has lost 8 in a row to Alabama and their games have been close a lot too.
If Kirby goes down to saban again this year he becomes Les Miles 2.0
I think that'll be Georgia's 6th straight loss to bama.

Nice attempted troll. Passive aggressive.
We don't have a turnstile for coaches like you Aubies. We wouldn't fire a HC for losing a NC game, it would be stupid and it would make us look line buffoons and be broke......like Aubies.

Well your entire premise is wrong. Mark Richts Achilles heel was not Alabama. If we fired Richt because of two games versus a dynasty then we are the dumb ones.

Please correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure he’ll still be Kirby Smart.

Miles had some damn good LSU teams but he couldn't beat Nick Saban in close games.
Kirby will become the league's new Les, like it or not.

No he won’t. You just want him to become that. He’s way younger than Miles (and, more importantly, Saban), for one thing.

Kirby's seat will be this hot....
As much as you want Kirby to be on the hot seat, it ain't happening.
Real question is when will Gus start winning again?

Stidham8...Auburn has more to worry about than how UGA does vs. Alabama....like, trying to persuade all of the "Auburn Family" to go brush their three front teeth once in a while or learn to alphabetize a bag of M&Ms to occupy their time.

His achilles heel was as mentioned above, self induced, but if you were going to give him a single team that his performance against them over his career cost him is job, it's clearly UF.
