Where do you rank shaun Alexander when it comes to all time bama running backs?? It's too bad, he was stuck with dubose as a coach.

Bama fan or not, if you actually watched Shaun, the dude was great. Go back and look at his highlights.

Damn autocorrect

He’d probably be in the top 4-5. Ran for almost 300 yards against LSU as a freshman.

That 1999 team won the SEC despite Dubose’s coaching.

I was 2 when he was playing so I didn't see him play for real. Based on stats He's top five all time, but Ingram is up there too and Henry will always be the most fun to watch.

He had some of the best years ever for a running back. His career was just too short.

Not that it matters....
But my favorite bama player of all time...
A great man, how can you not like him.
Best smile on the planet.

He'd easily been #1 if he had started as a true freshman like he should have. Or even if he had started as a sophomore. He had to sit behind Dennis freaking Riddle.

Wonderful kid. Humble and as nice as any kid you ever met.

Honestly I might put him at #1. But to be fair he was my sports hero growing up

Of all the ones I’ve seen I think Ingram, Henry, and Shaun Alexander are the top 3

I've never seen a RB take over a game like he did vs. LSU his freshman year. Well, maybe Barry Sanders. He was ridiculous in college. But Alexander had 4 70+ yard runs that game.

I think he was robbed by not even being invited to the Heisman ceremony.

He's way up there. Behind Trent, Lacy, Ingram, and Henry but somewhere around the area of Bobby Humphrey, TJ Yeldon, and Johnny Musso.

Somehow he got in Stallings' doghouse and so he didn't get to play much as a true freshman but he was fun to watch. He had a great pro career too.

He’s ahead of Lacy.

He's also ahead of Ingram in college. Honestly, he's the best RB who's ever played at Bama. Sad that he was wasted under Dubose.

He's up there. U could make a case for number one but I'll go:

Trent
Ingram
Alexander
Henry
Lacy
Nathan
Musso

You could win with any on that list but certainly Shaun is in the discussion.

I loved him. One of my all time favorites. His game against LSU was one of the most fun games I’ve ever witnessed.

Stallings was sooooo old school. If u didn't practice a hundred percent u didn't play and Shaun was notorious for hating practice but damn, could he run. If he starts all 4 years he sets Bama records that would never be touched.

The 98 iron bowl, he takes a screen and weaves across field basically dodging every auburn player on the field to a long td. Still one of the best runs I've ever seen. It was like he had eyes in the back of his head.

He and Chris Samuels basically won Alabama the 1999 SEC Title. 2 of the greatest leaders to ever wear crimson.

It looked like Shaun was caked in vasoline the way guys just slid off of him.
