I'm watching the Auburn vs fsu national title game from 2014 ESPN u. What game from any season after 2014 told you the Gus bus needs to go? Or least started to get skeptical about him?

After 2014? Pretty much the entire 2015 season, but the 2016 DSOR game was the final nail in the coffin for me. That was an awful thUGA team, and he shite the bed yet again.

My wife (AU alum) wanted him gone after the '15 Arkansas game.

The '16 DSOR was strange. That game convinced me that Gus isn't a good coach, because it seemed like he was running his typical offense while completely ignoring that the QB was injured and not playing 100% and with their starting RB out. No - or little - in game adjustments through that game.

Same thing in the '17 SECCG... he used the same game plan which worked well in the regular season DSOR but seemed to forget that Kerryon Johnson wasn't there to be that workhorse.

Anyways, just my perspective as a UGA fan who has to watch a bunch of Auburn games each year.

Became somewhat obvious that he wasn't the guy after the 2015 LSU game.

Became clear as day after 2016 Clemson.

AU would have won at least one NC and maybe two, if not for Ellis Johnson. Gus’s ZOffenses only needed an average D to win, and EJ couldn’t produce one.

Tennessee loss did it for me. I hung in there for a while, but that was my limit.

I’d have to think there are quite a few breaking points AU fans over the last few years. When a HC consistently racks up 3-4 losses as year, the fan base has to want him axed.

I’ve been a fan of a mediocre HC when Bama floundered through shite seasons, it wasn’t fun.

Clemson 16
LSU 17
UGA a couple times

Some people are a little unrealistic. But there are probably 4-6 games that Auburn likely SHOULD have won, and 2-3 of those are pretty unquestionably on Gus.

But perhaps more importantly - Auburn is boring under Gus. A guy hired to provide firepower and reckless abandon offense has created multiple years of boring, directionless football. He's not guns blazing and going 8-4, he's going 8-4 while looking completely lost week-to-week. That's what I can't live with.
