But he was so great that he just looked average in the ACC. Plus they claim they don't need a good QB with their Defense.

It will be ugly for them. ACC defense are completely docile compared to SEC defenses

Per 247 "Ironically, all three of Newman's 300-yard games this fall — including a 401-yard effort — came during the first month of the season before Wake Forest began meeting up with ACC-level defenses."

GA loses to: FL, AU, BAMA, and maybe TN

What is 247 smoking? He threw for 308 in game 7 against FSU and 350 in game 12 against Syracuse.
And before his two best WRs were done for the year. Go watch his film before judging. I'm not saying he'll win the the POY but he'll be in the top half of the qbs in the SEC.

2/10

FL, AU, BAMA,
I'd agree on these. TN will be better late in the year.
AU depends on Nixs' development. FL will be a tough defense. And Bama is the 3rd game of the year in Tuscaloosa. Bama wins that by double digits.

Well that certainly explains the hysterics when Fromm wasn't looking great; it was because of their faith in their defense.
Silly everyone else.

I strongly believe they drop 4. KY and SC could beat them as well.

You have no defense. LSU already exposed how overrated they were. They got high stats from playing no offenses all year and mostly backup QBs.
Have you missed most of the uga wins over auburn since we asserted our dominance?

Yep. No transfer QB has done well in the history of CFB. UGA fans probably think the last 3 heisman winners were transfer QB’s or that 3/4 playoff teams had transfer QB’s. Seriously, shouldn’t bama be worried about beating ranked teams in the regular season? They didn’t beat one last year.

Cool another thread about this.
You're right, Georgia would've been better off with a walk on, true freshman, or guy who isn't even clear to play.

Doubt they lose to Tennessee. But unless Kirby changes the offense the others are possible.
Auburn loses the front three on defense and it’s entire offensive line and the game is in Athens so Georgia probably wins that one.

It’s funny to watch GA fans trying to convince themselves that their new qb will get them to ATL and the playoffs. They are the best fan base when it comes to believing in themselves.

HA!
HAHA!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
You clearly don’t know ANY Georgia fans.

Well this is just wrong.
Georgia lost their quarterback and replaced him with someone who looks pretty decent. Georgia fans are happy that our qb situation isn't quite as dire as it was a couple of days ago. I don't think any sane Georgia fan is expecting a championship out of this, but we want what's best for our team.
Why is this so upsetting for everyone

You're talking about Justin Fields, Joe Burrow and Jalen Hurts. These are guys who came from premier programs, were taught by some of the best (well, once Fields left Georgia of course) and have track records of playing real defenses.
You're comparing them to some nobody from a middle rung ACC team who finished the last five games of the season shooting less than 50% -- one of those games coming against fricking Syracuse. Three of those games he couldn't even pass for 200 yards.
Two of those games he couldn't even pass for 100 yards.
This kid was playing in the motherfricking ACC.

Say what you will, but I watched his highlights and he is a lot better than Fromm. I hope Jake gets drafted and does well, but even many of his biggest supporters were frustrated in his lack of mobility, weak deep ball, and fear of throwing in the middle.
He still gave it his best effort and that is to be commended.
Newman has a shot to be the starter, but so does Beck, Mathis and Bennett. I am glad there will be some good competition for the role and that they all have wheels.
