Where are the honest bama posters that I've seen on here... The posters that will never support Sims being the starter...

He takes command of holding the clipboard for Coker.

I support the best player. If Sims is that man, then I trust Saban's judgement. Our last two starters at QB were a combined 60-7 at the position.

Typical coach speak to make the senior feel good on his way out.

This is all tomfoolery anyway. Bama is a baseball school now!

In the few attempts he's had, Sims has demonstrated some half-way decent throwing ability. He's athletic and mobile.

If he's learned the offense, I say give him a shot. If he hasn't learned the offense after being on the team for several seasons already, I think you have to move on to somebody else.

Saban has great judgement, obviously... But if Sims is the starter it's because there's a drop in talent, not because he's gotten that much better in a few months..

Any chance of an early season QB contest like in 2011? I thought Phillip Sims was going to get the start over McCarron before those first 3 games of '11.

Better hope so when Coker doesn't live up to his Hall of Fame billing.

Sims would have started at Auburn last year had he been there.

Probably so, but it looks like you're asking the right guy.

I always felt McCarron was going to be the starter. They were both performing equally in practice but McCarron had a big leg up because he'd actually seen plenty of action in games the previous year.

Damn, Sims is short. You're going to have to roll him out of the pocket if you don't want the pass tipped at the line of scrimmage.

Not true and what does that have to do with anything...
