QB Chris Parson commits to Miss State

Sorry Arkansas, I know Sam Pittman wanted him but Mike Leach is hard to turn down.
He was a Florida State commit early on because they told him he was their guy, and only guy, then turned around and offered another QB which didn't sit well with a guy who felt they betrayed so he opened up his recruiting.
The story behind Parson is that there are a bunch of high recruits that said they would follow and commit to whatever school he chose. This might get fun over the next few days
ETA: As a side note, not only can he throw a ball, but he is a true duel threat, something Leach rarely gets. Makes me wonder if Leach is thinking ahead about expanding his philosophy.

This might push them top 30. That said, Leach with top 30 talent is scary.

Upper 89 to 90. But one thing we both know, Leach does not go after QB's who are not accurate. He is one of the best in the business about that. He has passed on more highly recruited QB's in the past because he saw flaws. Don't melt on this, it just shows fear.

I love how you leave out our injuries not to mention Dak's injury. Yeah you won 31-17 thanks to an unhealthy MSU team that also had 4 secondary players hurt the last few weeks of the season too. So congrats on "Dissecting" us

He might not want to answer that lol. One thing we both know, Chris Parson was a huge get and they know it. He's a lot like KJ Jefferson at Arkansas. Can throw and beat you with his legs.

Why isn't this on the recruiting board? I'm sure the guy is a good qb but he isn't Vince Young. This isn't any different than any other school signing some marginal 4 star kid.

You were 10-1 and #4 in the country. A lock for the playoff, dependent on beating OM. Your best player of all time on your best team of all time failed to deliver. It is no way comparable to the 2013 Egg which would’ve determined a Birmingham or Music City appearance, win or lose.
Sawyer Robertson is the best quarterback you’ve ever recruited. Congrats on a middling 4* whose skillset has not nor will not ever produce in an Air Raid system.

Ok fine, but the fact that a bunch of other recruits made a pact that they would go wherever he goes is pretty big news. MSU always gets bad media coverage is a recruit commits to us. Like we have 3 O-Linemen heavily recruited by Arkansas (Sam Pittman knows OL) and Wisconsin (Wisc always produces NFL OL) etc etc. If they committed to those schools they get a boost from 3 star to 4 star etc.
I'm just amazed that Parson didn't get down graded to a 2 star.
