No mention of REC or Dodge Charger?

I did not read the article but there has not been one sniff of a recruiting violation outside of the secondary stuff that all schools have, as it relates to NS while at Bama.
U and others can deal with the fact that he is doing it by the books. So you throw in cheating to make you feel good about your lame program

who refuse to look into why Bama actually gets all these players:
Wouldn’t be a proven track record of winning championships or being developed and actually making it to the NFL would it ..

LOL.... if you don't think players at Bama are getting extra benefits (as with all other schools) you have your head way far up your arse. There was plenty of smoke early in Saban's tenure ( NCAA investigated a Dodge dealership in Gadsden, etc...) I do think that once he got thinks rolling the success certainly helped.

Bama has this down to a science. Do they cheat? Yes. Does every SEC school cheat? of course. Unless it goes to an extreme, the NCAA looks the other way. Extreme is when a down program (I.e. starts getting too many 5 stars), then the NCAA may do something

Your problem is a lack of logic flowing through your thought process of Saban cheating.
If he ever did cheat, he doesn't have to now - it's self sustaining.

Bama is under the biggest microscope there is. Believe me, if Saban was cheating Bama would be under an NCAA investigation and we'd all know about it.

It's not hard to hide shot from the NCAA. We probably cheat (along with everyone else), and I couldn't care less

You can't honestly believe Saban doesn't throw money at them...well not Saban. Boosters. The evidence is "circumstancing", overwhelmingly obvious but they have a system in place to hide it in plain sight. I know first hand, but it's an I saw it thing so no one is going to believe it either way.
So can't prove it..but 100 percent know that new Escalade I saw the day after signing with his Mom's name on the license in shiny pink and an Alabama emblem imprinted largely on the back window wasn't purchased by a woman that didn't have a job at the time and lived in the ghetto Funny..when we asked how she got it she said she found a great deal online....lol. Saban cheats. End of story. There is zero doubt in my mind I've seen it. It's why only blind Bama fans actually claim it's not true.

I know for an absolute fact that recruits and their families have been provided improper benefits to go to Alabama under Saban's tenure and that these improprieties were reported to the NCAA.
My point of view is that the NCAA knows elite cfb players should be getting paid and instead of legalizing it and opening up a title IX nightmare they simply turn a blind eye. I also believe that the NCAA thinks going after Bama would be bad for the sport's reputation considering they are the current face of the sport.

I think they'd have to dig deep to get Bama now. I don't get the sense it's like the Julio, Ingram, tRent, Fluker days where they were just out-and-out paying players to come to set the tone. I think its more about getting family members jobs (like say an entire family moving from Hawaii to Birmingham) and "improving" the lives of HS coaches and booster clubs rather than direct player payments. They've got the reputation of sending guys to the league at an unprecedented rate now. It's insane how many players they have in the NFL now....hell half the Ravens roster seems like are bama players.

Yeah never has Saban been investigated for cheating at any of his college stops but yet he cane to Alabama and is only successful because he cheats. This board has a case of the retards.

He said,
By no means did he imply he was drawn to UA because of illegal perks made known to him in the recruitment process. He said agents (who likely give 2 schits what school he attended), which implies they were greasing his palms with $ to secure his business in the future... not pay him for play now.
Still, it's against the rules, but it is a different context from what the OP is implying with how the recruit is originally drawn to UA.
That said, I have little doubt that every major athletics program is affected by cheating. However, I think there are far fewer instances of the coaches or actual ath dept personnel being directly involved. Some may turn a blind eye, but that only leads to trouble eventually. And, it honestly makes them more complicit in the cheating for a lack of oversight and control. If a kid is living or appears to be living above his means, staffers should be asking ?s to mitigate issues.
The majority of the "cheating" comes from boosters (many of the sidewalk fan variety) wanting to feel like part of the process with 100 dollar handshakes and freebies for student athletes or from the agents wanting to recruit an established player to their services in the future.
Saban did a tremendous job of policing up agent and "rogue" booster interaction with players early on. Now, he has enough wasta to cut people off from access to UA football no matter who they are, which is a major problem other coaches and programs face. Yet, it still doesn't eliminate the cheating 100% and never will.
It is a problem that every school faces... and will continue to face.
