As we all know, all SEC teams pay for elite players and it will be interesting what comes from Pruitt getting fired, especially if it is with cause and he receives no buyout. I can't see Pruitt and others affected by this firing sitting quietly as their names get trashed in the media, while others coaches continue to stay employed doing the exact same thing.

Pruitt wants another job. you don't do that by snitching. Your take is ignorant.

Don't worry about it. Pruitt is coming home, will either be an analyst or if no show cause might get onfield somehow (could use an ilb coach, golding's not cutting it there). Either way, that magnificent, penis-looking bastard will be making bama stronger, and hopefully this experience has killed his desire to be head coach. He's a born career coordinator

I'm willing to bet that Papa Nick would welcome him back home with open arms if he torpedoed Bowl Cut.

You're half right. The NCAA will take forever. Probably a couple of years. That said, a show cause is coming. He was fired for cause...that doesn't happen if there isn't something substantial there.

tennessee was desperate, would not be surprised if the cause is incredibly thin. They wanted him gone but couldn't afford to get rid of him

Aren't Jeremy Pruitt and Kirby Smart supposed to be friends? I thought they used to work together and parted on good terms. I wouldn't think that Pruitt would do anything to hurt Smart. Pruitt needs as many friends as possible in the coaching profession.

Acquaintances is how I would describe their relationship.

Well, I'm not sure why things would change now. He would be done in coaching if he truly decides to show "publicly" where all the bodies are.

Every time these things happen, all teams pucker their buttholes and hope not to get hit with collateral damage. That said, the broader it goes the better for all. The NCAA isn't crushing multiple big name schools.
