He apparently sent a congrats tweet to his old high school for winning a state basketball title.

The tweet was deleted 37 minutes later after a UT compliance official noted that it constituted an impermissible endorsement of a high school team and its coach.

Oh, the NCAA will be all over that. It's so much worse than paying players. They don't care about that.

Seriously, the NCAA needs to be replaced with something that makes some kind of sense.

You'd think his prior relationship with the school would matter (which is an acceptable exception for boosters contact with recruits).

I guess I get it, but that seems a little picky to me.

Sound's like UT's system worked fine.

Pruitt sent what he thought was an innocent tweet. (and was to everybody but the ncaa)

The compliance staff was monitoring and notified him to delete.

I always felt that Pruitt was the shadiest of all the former Saban Assistants. Maybe it his connection to Rush Prost.

I can’t help but laugh when I see Ole Miss fans bitch about the Ncaa.

I member when Ole Miss kept making bogus claims about MSU and kept asking them to investigate us buying cars and houses for recruits. The Ncaa spent 4 years on our campus and their conclusion was none of that happened. Yet they hammered us for a McDonalds meal, a player already on roster getting paid $25.00 for cleaning a coaches office so he could take a date to a movie. Etc.

Your base laughed and mocked MSU for getting hammered over trivial shite but now all your fans hate the Ncaa. In my opinion justice has been served.

Yeah. Nobody should make anything of this. Crap, he had a relationship with the school. you can't even say congrats when your old school does well?
The NCAA would have to be nuts to do anything with that.

Are compliance officers the adult version of the kid who argues a wrong answer and ends up with the entire class getting the question marked wrong?

I think most teams have plenty of these self reported minor violations and the NCAA does nothing about any of these. It's kind of funny because the compliance departments never seem to be the ones who break the big violations.

Does it have anything to do with Pruitt coming into your home and dragging his hawg across your face last season?

No, at that point I though he was doing us a favor and we would get rid of Lindsey. It's Jimbo that couldn't finish the job.
