My point is that, out of all these teams, 2018 Alabama has had the weakest schedule over its first 7 games.

1995 Nebraska's opponents records through 7 games: 22-26-1
Nebraska played one ranked team

2001 Miami's opponents records through 7 games: 23-32*
Miami played one ranked team

2018 Alabama's opponents records through 7 games: 22-24
Alabama played one ranked team

Your assertion is wrong.

* - Due to the events of 9/11, many games moved around, some did not, which caused some variations between teams. By the time Miami played 7 games, some of their opponents played anywhere from 6-8 games.

So far, I agree. Have to see what happens when bama plays the only good team they will play all season in Baton Rouge, but so far they look as dominant as any team I've ever seen.

Word of caution though... 1983 Nebraska turned out to be a total fraud blowing out shite teams all year while being called the GOAT, then losing to the only decent team they played (a team that wasnt even very good and lost by 21 to the only good team they played).

Then 2013 FSU was being called the GOAT and took a beating and should have lost in the BCSNCG.

Then again the true GOAT proved it in 1995.

We will see. 2012 bama was an awesome team too. Right now though, this bama team really does look like the real deal. Personally I think they may be historically good.

most of the pints Arkansas and A&M scored were against the first string?

A&M scored 23 points and 7 of them were on the last drive of the game against 100% 2nd stringers.

The Arkansas game was just one ugly, bad game in which we got schemed and our young back 7 and young DC got woodsheded. Even then, it was 58-17 with 13 minutes left in the game and at that point Arkansas had 320 yards on 5.7 YPP.

And even with all that, our defense is 1st in the SEC in YPP against P5 teams after playing multiple good offenses. It's not 2011 or 2016, but it's a Top 15 national defense.

We'll see how it plays out as the season goes on. At this point I feel like I know what to expect with our defense against everyone left on our schedule due to the opposition we've already played. The offense still has some things to prove.
