Would think Louisville might get the nod in that scenario. Really don’t see Duke in the sec and do we really need three teams from the state of Florida

Eventually it will be diminished returns. ESPN/Fox are only going to pay so much, they aren’t going to keep adding hundreds of millions to the deal to add VT and VA. I don’t think it gets to 24. It will reach a point to where adding schools starts to reduce each schools split. That defeats the whole purpose.

These actually seem.....good? Kentucky is a little out of place and LSU might not want to be placed in the Big 12/SWC pod but overall it kinda works? Clemson kinda makes out like a bandit here, but keeping the geography and rivalries together kinda does that

Keep out Miami, Georgia Tech, Virginia and kick out Vanderbilt. Add West Virginia and you got yourself a right proper super conference.

"proposed" by some person on a messageboard isn't really being completely honest

You hit the nail on the head. To get into the SEC you have to show that you will increase the overall revenue of the conference. There’s no doubt that Oklahoma and Texas will do that.

Will Southern Cal and UCLA do the same for the Big Ten? USC probably will but UCLA will add nothing to their pot. They are not a hot football property like Oklahoma, Texas and USC.

I predict that the P2 will now stand pat for a few years and roll in the dough. It would be stupid to dilute the brands by further expansion at this time.

I don't like it, not one little bit. We're heading for NFLite

This is the best version of the SEC that I've seen if there is going to be further expansion.

When your conference is this big, what's the fricking point of a conference to start with?

Guess the human mascot would qualify, somewhat, for horseback riding.

Seems logical but I would include N.C. State and exclude Miami. I don't think Miami wants to be in the SEC and I don't think Miami's culture and lack of support for athletics is a good fit for the SEC.

Basically all of them but football, and they’ve had some decent teams in football in the past.

ETA: if we were to look at VT as a comparison, they’ve been basically better than VT at everything, including football, since Frank Beamer retired.
