Leonard Fournette's performance in last year's game vs. Alabama more or less lost him the Heisman. LSU fans have been quick to site bad quarterback play and Les Miles coaching as the reason for his poor statline. The lazy argument worked because last year there seemed to be no equivalent of Miles ball coupled with LSU level quarterbacking. In reality, bad QB play and Miles ball has been LSU's style of football for years and we can compare past LSU RBs performances vs. Alabama because the factors are relatively the same. What you'll find is that since 2007 every starting LSU runningback has had a better YPC average in their individual game than LF7's career 2.7 YPC vs. Bama
2007. Jacob Hester 16 carries, 47 yards, 2.9 YPC
2008. Charles Scott 13 carries, 88 yards, 6.8 YPC
2009. Charles Scott 13 carries, 83 yards, 6.4 YPC
2010. Stevan Ridley 24 carries, 88 yards, 3.7 YPC
GOTC. Michael Ford 11 carries, 72 yards, 6.5 YPC
21-0. Kenny Hilliard 5 carries, 16 yards, 3.2 YPC
2012. Jeremy Hill 29 carries, 107 yards, 3.7 YPC
2013. Jeremy Hill 13 carries, 42 yards, 3.2 YPC

Bookmarked, but I'm curious why comparing Fournette to the other great LSU RBs is so concerning to you.

That's a lot of research for another team's stats. Sheesh.

.....OK tell me Saban would not have been pleasuring himself at least 3X a day if Fournette had signed with Alabama.

I don't care what team you root for. If you can't watch Leonard play and come to the conclusion that he is a very rare speciman, than you just don't know shite about football. Period.

Jesus Christ, Les. Give the man more carries.

I believe he hit his head in one of the games and was injured.

That proves nothing, different quarterbacks in those years who could actually complete a pass (Even jordan jefferson and jarrett lee posed more of a passing threat than harris and jennings the past couple of years).

Last two years our QB play has been the same! Offense was one sided and bland. When we had mettenberger, odell, jarvis and hill we were more dynamic. Not run run pass punt throughout the first quarter of play anymore. Way less predictable this time around.

Yeah, Fournette shouldn't even declare for the draft. I mean it's not like he has a shot at the first round anyway.

No, I'm pretty sure A'Shawn Robinson and Jonathan Allen pushing our lines shite in play after play was our excuse.

What's with all the Bama post? It's like they are trying to convince themselves and everyone else
they have a good team and LSU has nothing?

Geez just let the game play out.....or at least wait
till game week, you frickers are going to type yourselves to death.....
