Jesus. If he's actually trying to help us get a transfer immediately eligible for once, we will have come full circle.

I know. Mars loses more than he wins. The Mays family fired him pretty quick.
Mars is bitter that he doesnt know what he is talking about when he pitches a kid and family for his retainer fee.

Are there a lot of coaches who let players transfer in conference without it being a grad transfer? Did I miss this becoming a trend?

Okay if you say so

Ole Miss has done it a couple of times. Most coaches are starting to get backlash for blocking a transfer to anywhere. Logically why would they have a say in where the kid should play football

Well sounds like Kirby is gonna have to pay even more to recruit players. Wonder how much dealing with constant racism cost?

Contract signed by players.
LOI gives up rights.
Contract with ncaa gives up rights.

Just let them transfer even within conference

That's how, not why.
The why is because universities and coaches want total control, as does every other institution focused on making money.

Transfer, yes. Immediate eligibility, no way. There are reasons they make them sit for a year . Keeps players from hopping around to get a better deal somewhere else. Keeps players that are quite probably disgruntled from sharing privileged team info with a rival they will be playing immediately.

Tom Mars’ job is to get transfers immediate eligibility. That is very different than Kirby Smart’s job, which does not involve helping Tom Mars.
