"Not recruiting against Mike Leach or Lane Kiffin"

Shots fired with a shite-eating grin in the 'sip.

He'll pull in some guys that Jackson St. wouldn't have otherwise got because of his name. Besides this, he's right. He's not going to get serious players from either Leach or Kiffin. And those "serious guys" wouldn't get accepted at either LSU or Alabama anyways. Nothing to see here really. He's just being realistic. You can talk the talk all you want when you're proven.

Sounds like a guy who realizes where his school is at on the totem pole. The opposite of shots fired.

Inferring racism is hardly a (yawn) shot.

Good line, he'll pull some kids from Southern maybe, and get the occasional transfer.

JSU administration isn't known for their patience though, so he better win quick

The recipe for winning in Dion's weight class is making lots of friends up the food chain. You find all the guys who aren't hacking it in power 5 and meet them at the transfer portal. You take that dubious risk for all the head cases out in football land who haven't been diagnosed as clinical yet, and still look hard for guys with numerous run-ins with the law but still can convince ADs and administrators they've been misunderstood and deserve that 5th chance. Before you know it, you are beating the living hell out of your division rivals and the press calls you the next great head coach on your way to the top.

So, Dion, don't bite the hand that feeds you.

He needs to focus on Alcorn. Fred McNair has them dominating the SWAC East.

Not sure what he will do as a head coach, but I've seen in person what he has done as OC at Trinity Christian. The guy knows football. It will be interesting to see what he does with his staff.

They’ll probably be a good SWAC team. But until ESPN goes full woke mode and cancels their SEC TV contract in favor of the SWAC, that’ll be about it lol

That's Deion. And, he's not biting anything. Deion is already world famous and I would bet money he has a relationship with Lane Kiffin already. Deion will try to position his program as the program of choice for guys who aren't cutting it at Power 5 or Group of 5 schools with his relationships with other coaches. Coach O tries to steer guys to Frank Wilson. Deion is trying to be that guy for Leach and Kiffin.

Furthermore, this is all about positioning Deion to get the FSU job in the future. Deion is playing a long game.

That's how much of the mainstream media is these days. It's awful.

If I’m coaching at a place like this then I am absolutely loading up on P5 transfers and doing the majority of my HS recruiting after ESD

I didn’t even think about him saying that because they are white but because they are the top dogs in Mississippi.

If he means it as a racism thing it’s absurd...but then again as SJW is the youngest generation is it may be the only way to steal kids from P5. Akin to the way city schools like Cincinnati are able to keep local kids playing for the city...he’s doing the same thing but in a racist way.

That’s what he meant. He was laughing about an sec level player going to a swac school.

I have followed Sanders for years. And, the "read into that" comment brings a bit more umph than you are projecting imho!

We shall see, he isn't afraid to tackle anything
