Pretty shocked Dabo let Etienne come back - compare his usage to others (Swift/Harris/CEH)

(1) He was a Top 3 RB pick by basically every service and I imagine he got a 1/2 round grade from the NFL committee

(2) His usage is much in line with almost all the junior guys leaving

Career Carries/Receptions
Jonathan Taylor - 926 (gone to NFL)
AJ Dillon - 866 (gone to NFL)
JK Dobbins - 796 (gone to NFL)
Cam Akers - 655 (gone to NFL)
Travis Etienne - 572 (STAYING)
D'Andre Swift - 513 (gone to NFL)
Chuba Hubbard - 497 (STAYING)
Kylin Hill - 481 (STAYING)
Clyde-Edwards Helaire - 439 (gone to NFL)
Najee Harris - 424 (STAYING)

Good for the kid, but boy that is an interesting decision.

I never understand how Clemson gets everyone to come back.

That's something the NCAA should be investigating.

Hoes and money. I guarantee you Clemson has a bunch of escorts. Dabo reeks of it.

Cost himself a lot of money unless he is being paid by Clemson.

How did Saban get Harris to stay at bama? I bet the process is similar.

He isn't taking much punishment playing in the ACC. Between that, the escorts, and the cash. ... not much of a surprise, or much of a risk

Did you see the list? Harris has very low usage compared to basically every other junior back.

Ettiene has 148 more offensive touches over his career so far than Harris. That's almost 3/4 of a season's worth.

How does Jonathan Taylor’s usage compare to past early entrant RBs?

It compares pretty favorably (in terms of how high it is) to other Wisconsin backs. It's higher than almost everyone else.

Wisconsin finds those guys as freshman/sophomores and they ride them until their junior/senior year.

Still a running back. By the time NFL running backs hit 30 they are done.

God tells them to... or at least this is what preacher Sweeney is scaring them with.

Oh, alright, good stuff

The point is how many hits they have taken, and Najee basically has less wear and tear after 3 years than Dillon/Taylor/Dobbins had after 2 years.

Only explanation is that it's personal and he wants another natty to put him over LSU and validate his decision to choose Clemson.

It’s not that deep. If it was LSU wouldn’t have 5th rounders leaving early.

Let’s be real, Swift and Harris both suck.
