I'm going back to 2005 with mine.

LSU at Bama. Bama is undefeated and hosting a one-loss LSU team for control of the West.

Game goes into OT and JaMarcus throws a 25 yard bullet for a TD to win the game.

Leaving Bryant-Denny, the entire walk through the concourse we were serenaded by the Gumps with "Go Katrina!"

I'd say it was classless, but the years of Gump behavior that came after that showed it to be their default behavior.

Do have to say that the walk through campus was a highlight. Gumps were pissed and wanted to fight. But they didn't want to fight us LSU fans. They were fighting each other.

An Example of the situations: "I told you SHula sucked!" "frick You! We was undefeated before them cheating coon-asses cheated us! Refs fricked us all game!"

Cue the fisticuffs.

So what Y'all got?

***Piss balloon stories in BR don't count. That's tradition and how we teach our youngin's to throw baseballs so they can one-day play for LSU.

That's what happens when Wal-Mart is the state's biggest employer.

I was in the stadium.

I told a tale that took place inside the stadium.

How the frick would you know what happened in the stadium? You were drunk in the Quad at the time.

And you are part of a fanbase that is known for destroying historical landmarks and shooting other fans after a loss, and sexually assaulting people after a win.

But this is too unbelievable for you?

In 5th grade there was this UF fan in my class who talked mad shite. Absolute a-hole. Had massive glasses and walked like he had a stick up his butt. I went back and forth with him about who would win the WLOCP.

It was the Jarvis Jones game

Monday morning and I couldn’t wait to let him hear it. Didn’t get the chance. Little bitch faked sickness that day and on Tuesday he showed up to school crying his eyes out. Could dish it out but not take it. I got in trouble for bullying and I didn’t say a word to him.

I’m proud of it

The biggest fight I’ve seen at an LSU tailgate was between a couple of fraternities near the law building in 2012

Ten years earlier, that could have been me and my friends fighting a fraternity.

And were they frats from the other team?

You didn’t read my post. I didn’t say anything. We were both talking shite before the game and I didn’t get a chance to say anything after the game. No bullying from me. He was just a crybaby who couldn’t eat crow like a lot of UF fans.

In 2007, I went to the Iron Bowl in Auburn with an Auburn alum friend of mine, sat in the upper deck in a couple of his parents season tickets. It was pretty much an all Auburn section and many of them were season ticket holders who all knew each other.

There was this miserable middle aged couple in front of us. Even when I first walked in in my Bama hat, she was giving us the stink eye but nbd, it’s the Iron Bowl after all. Throughout the course of the game, which Auburn won, their sixth in a row as you might recall, this old hag and her husband kept turning around and squealing in my face. Been to a bunch of away games over the years, never had anyone be close to this rude tbh. They were super country.

Eventually my friend actually gets fed up and asks them to knock it off, and she in particular get really pissy about it. After a bit of back and forth, though they knock it off for the rest of the game but things were kind of tense. The whole section is giving me the business holding up 6 fingers by the end and they were loving it obviously.

Two years later, I once again attend the Iron Bowl in Auburn with my same friend and we sit in the same seats. As we walk in, of course, the same couple is sitting in front of us. I think she caught me smirking about it as we walk in but things don’t really start popping off again until the game gets going and Auburn starts pulling all of that voodoo they pulled in that game. Honestly, there were a couple moments that day that were as loud as any stadium I’ve ever heard, place was just going nuts. A bunch of ppl were actually giving me shite in the section this game as I recall.

I also remember that for this one, her husband was rip roaring drunk and was way more aggressive. I remember he kept yelling at me about how overrated Ingram and Julio were and all this shite, wouldn’t let it go. I’m mostly trying to be nice since we’re sitting in my buddy’s parents seats or whatever but I’m giving it back to him a little bit. But I’m also pressed because it looks like Bama is about to lose the game and ruin our undefeated season. It was not fun there for awhile.

Anyway that glorious final drive (in which Julio was a monster) things start gettin reeeeal nervous in this section. They suddenly didn’t have much to say about Julio who I was loudly praising as he led us down the field. Some were trying to make noise but by this point a bunch of them were sitting on their hands. When Bama scored that winning touchdown, it was so beautiful man. Fans already storming for the exit. Some VERY angry looks back up at me from the rows down below as I and every other Gump in the stadium just went ballistic, I’ll never forget how glorious that was.

One of the better games I’ve seen in person but also, the personal triumph of seeing that miserable couple rammer jammered out of their stadium after that previous game? Priceless.

You see, my story was from my first trip to Bama, and it was during the Shula years, and Bama was undefeated.

I went again four years later in 2009 (the PP7 "3 feet is not good enough" game) and was treated extremely well. Before the game, Bama fans kept hovering over to our tailgate bc we were cooking Jambalaya and we were right next to the student radio broadcast, so we gave them bowls and got to get on air and have some playful banter with the hosts about our teams.

During the game was great, except that everyone was filled with nervous energy (didn't have tickets to this game, so watched at Ragusa"s(?) or what ever that bar at the corner of campus is called. had an issure with the staff, but got it cleared up after putting up with them being assholes. But I get it. I'm in the industry and understand gamedays).

Even though we lost, not once was there unpleasantness.

I have a feeling that most horror stories of opposing fans aren't about those fans coming to your campus, as fans who travel usually are better stock. They come from those traveling fans of going to another's campus and dealing with fans who don't have tickets, or don't have the means to travel, only show up on campus for gameday.

Never had a bad experience with an opposing fan in Baton Rouge.

Could change this year though. We play Southern. No telling what is going to happen when the other team only has to drive four exits to reach your campus.
