This year marks the 30th anniversary of that wild and wacky 1990 season. 2007 mirrored it in a lot of ways. Virginia of all teams spent a couple weeks at #1 that season. In the end, two teams that had never won a national title in the Poll Era came out on top - Colorado (AP) and Georgia Tech (Coaches).

Georgia Tech has never spent a single week at #1 in the AP poll in the history of their entire program. And it doesnt stop them from their claims.
