Scary news from Alabama: “Trey Sanders was involved in a car accident this morning and is in stable condition after sustaining non-life threating injuries. We are in direct contact with his family and the physicians that are treating him as we continue to gather more information”

Poor guy was injured all last season too. Hope he’s okay.

Hope he heals quick. He’s had awful luck at Bama.

Indeed. And he was just starting to hit his stride last week. He had 12 carries for 80 yards against Mississippi State.

Alabama running back Trey Sanders was involved in a car accident on Friday, but the redshirt freshman didn’t suffer any significant injuries, BamaOnLine has learned. Sanders was home in Port Saint Joe, Fla., as the Crimson Tide has the weekend off during its bye week.
Head coach Nick Saban released the following statement Friday afternoon:
“Trey Sanders was involved in a car accident this morning and is in stable condition after sustaining non-life threating injuries. We are in direct contact with his family and the physicians that are treating him as we continue to gather more information.”
Sounds positive.

We've been following this on the Alabama board, and there is no other information yet.
Initial rumors were that he had been airlifted, but I've seen nothing to confirm that, and it would seem based on this release that it probably wasn't true.

Evidently Sanders had to be life-flighted to Bay Medical Center in PC. Prayers for the young man.

This reminds me of the D-lineman who got shot and then played in the opening game the following week.
Who was that? Courtney Upshaw?

To be fair, Brandon was shot by an attempted car jacker. Raekwon shot himself on accident.
