Can you imagine catching Kentucky as an 11 seed?

Yikes.

They would not put Kansas, Texas and Iowa State all in the same region as the 2-4 seeds.

This bracket looks stupid.

Agree, but at some point it got nearly impossible to separate out 6 BXII teams in the Top 16 seeds and also keep other conference teams apart on the 1-4 lines.

The BXII is going to have at least 2 S16 1v4/2v3 matchups. Math won't work without it.

Maybe swap Texas into Bama's bracket and put Oklahoma/A&M in Purdue's.

Which then leads to a 2nd round Texas vs OU/A&M game.

The Big XII is hell

Somebody could piece it together with time, I got tired of following all the loose ends eventually.

It’s possible. There’s nothing stopping it besides very low probability.

Who's retarded bracket is this? Did you purposely search the interwebs for the most obscure bracket you could find?

Interesting seeding but what's your logic for Tennessee being a 2 seed? The UK loss is never going to be counted against us the way it would be if it were another team. It just won't. They're freaking UK and we have a longstanding rivalry (two things that mitigate the impact significantly). I also think that Tennessee has a great shot of beating the Tide in Feb but even a close loss with how both have been playing and the teams Tennessee has beaten favors a 1-seed.

My biggest case against us getting a 1-seed if things play out well for us is that we always get underseeded. Last year, had we been given the seed we earned we don't get bounced (matchups would've favored us) but that was hardly the first time we've been screwed on seeds. When UK plays well the committee brand biases.

And lest you think I'm just complaining because it's not my team, the most egregious display of brand bias I've ever seen in my life was in favor of us post-Pat Summitt. More than once we showed we had no business even making the tourney and more than once they put us in anyway simply because the LVs had always been there and it's the only women's program (I think their might be 2 more now) that makes revenue and draws in big crowds/viewership. When we finally did manage to get ourselves left out and break the streak of tourney appearances it was well past when it should've happened.

We will be lucky to be an 8 unless we beat Bama or UT

It's the formula at the start on Torviks bracket creator.

Tennessee isn't a #1 yet because their resume isn't quite as deep as the other teams. Less Q1/2 wins and more losses outside Q1.

Q1 Wins
Kansas - 8
Purdue - 7
Arizona - 7
Alabama - 6
Houston - 4
Tennessee - 4
UCLA - 4

Q1+2 Wins
Kansas - 12
Purdue - 11
Alabama - 11
Arizona - 10
UCLA - 10
Houston - 9
Tennessee - 7

Q2-4 Losses
Tennessee - 2
Houston - 1
Arizona - 1
Alabama - 0
Purdue - 0
Kansas - 0
UCLA - 0

I have little doubt it will be in 2-3 weeks as they have more opportunities. They're clearly a Top 5 team, just need some more Q1/2 opportunities (which they have coming up).

If I was adding personal preference tweaks I'd drop Houston to a 2 and bump Tennessee to a 1. And probably Kansas for Arizona given Arizona has a couple pretty bad losses.
