Kansas vs. Kentucky, if both are not in the CFP. Would fans of both travel for it? That would be a fun game.

We’ve had solid bowl attendance at the bowls we’ve attended under Stoops (and really even before that).

Kentucky would bring a ton to NOLA. They travel great for bowl games.

Kentucky in the CFP? 
Kentucky will be lucky to not lose 4 games this year. They may make the Liberty Bowl or Music City this year.

Not that far-fetched. Kentucky has an extremely low shot of winning the East, but a very fair shot at finishing with a high ranking and getting an at-large Sugar Bowl berth much like Ole Miss last year.
The Big 12 looks pretty wide open, and unless Ok State, Baylor or OU miraculously finish 12-1 and win the championship game, I don't think the Big 12 has any shot at a playoff berth this year. At this juncture, it's definitely not out of the realm of possibility that Kansas could end up being one of the conference's top teams by years' end. We'll see if they have the depth to keep playing like they have through the first third of the season.

If the SEC gets 2 playoffs team in the CFP then most likely #3 team in SEC will get Sugar Bowl. As of right now I don’t see Kentucky finishing ahead of Bama, UGA, UT or Ole Miss. Sugar bowl and Orange bowl is going to tow of these 4 teams. Kentucky may get Gator Bowl or Outback Bowl.
