Possible SEC Conference Pods for 2025?

LSU/aTm/Ole Miss/Miss State
Bama/Aubbie/Tennessee/Vandy
GA/KY/FLA/USC
Arky/Mizzou/OU/Texas
SEC introduces a 9-game conference schedule. Play your "pod" teams every year. Play 6 teams from others home and home for two seasons. Then rotate with a different 6 teams home and home. This way every team plays each other at home within a 4 year period.
If the SEC continues to have a championship game (doesn't make sense with a 12 team playoff, but will be hard to terminate that kind of revenue) take the top 2 pod winners with some type of built-in tie-breaker.
Most long-running rivalries remain in-tact except for Tenn/Fla and GA/Aubbie. Is this format plausible?

Didn't Sankey basically confirm that they aren't moving to the pod system?

Yeah I think pods are dead but that is a sensible grouping if SEC switches to a pod format.

They aren't doing pods.
Each team will have their own 2-3 permanent opponents.

Well, even if they do not have pods, it would be a method to get a snapshot of what each team will be permanently grouped with.

I think they confirmed no "pods" but if you have 3 permanent opponents and then alternate between the remaining 12 on a 4 year rotating basis, then you have a pod system.

If you're going to ruin DSOR to an every OTHER year or a non-conf. game, this will get shot down instantly.
Personally, I say it makes more sense geographically to do Ala./Aub./UGA/Fl. & Tn./Vandy/SC/Kentucky.
But you're right on the ANNUAL games being trashed UNLESS you have a format to include those on the schedules.
& a "no-division" setup will require MORE tie-breakers to be created to sort same-record schools.

Because LSU isn't 1 of those teams negatively impacted with this grouping.
