Poll era National Titles

The only legitimate NC claims are those with a #1 finish in either of the major selector (UPI/Coaches or AP) polls. In the SEC those are:
Alabama-12
1961, 1964, 1965, 1973, 1978, 1979, 1992, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017
LSU-4
1958, 2003, 2007, 2019
Florida-3
1996, 2006, 2008
Auburn-2
1957, 2010
Tennessee-2
1951, 1998
Georgia-1
1980
Texas A&M-1
1939
Alabama-12

Still blows my mind that 2009 was Saban's only undefeated team at Bama, yet I'd say at least 3 of his championship teams after that were probably all-around better squads.
Probably a testament to senior leadership opposed to the raw, freakish talent that started coming in post-2009.
More so a testament to how strong the SEC competition was on any given night, though.
