How in the world is Clemson favored by 17.5 ? I expect Clemson to win, but holy shite, 17.5 is crazy high.

Clemson isn’t as good as last year and theoretically Aggie should be better.

I’m taking the points on this.... it almost seems too easy.

Because they WERE 19.5, then smart money came rolling in.

That’s how.

Are you guys not as good as last year? It seems like Clemson took a step back.

I can see Clemson being ahead by 10-11 and get a late garbage TD to cover

Because they’re idiots...

I'd like to say we are, but it's still up in the air. Lost top 5 leading tacklers. Lost Traveon Williams. Lost Sternberger. Should have better depth this year, but there isn't much you can really learn from the Texas State game.

75% of the posters on this site are on record saying they think Clemson will rape aggy, according to a recent poll thread. So, it seems most people (oddsmakers and fans on this site) think that Clemson wins by around 20 or more.

Biggest question in my opinion is OLine and run game. If we can get that established against Clemson it will be a close game. Ball control will be key.

Its college football - a game played by 18-22 year old young men who’s brains and bodies have not fully developed. That means anything can happen and betting on whether these young men will perform up to expectations is a fools errand. Never bet on college football if you want to remain sane.
ETA: I wouldn’t be surprised if Clemson wins by 30 or loses by 14. Two goods teams with loads of athletic players - anything can happen.

Clemson has all the hype. Lines are about perception.

Yeah, we'll see. We only got 71 yards on 32 carries last year. They did lose a lot in their front 7 and Ga Tech seemed to find some running success last week. On the other side, we held them to 115 yards rushing and most of that was Kelly Bryant.

Seems like a tough game to bet. 17.5 does look high but in today's college football a 17 point spread is more like a 10 point spread back just a few years ago. The way offenses are today a relatively close game can turn into what looks like a blow out pretty quickly.

I think Clemson is the better team playing at home. If had to pick the game I'd take A&M to cover but I wouldn't bet this one. I don't think we learned anything from the Ga Tech and Texas St games respectively.

The casual bettor will look at:

- Top 10 team getting 20 points
- Lawrence played bad last week
- A&N only losing by 2 last year

Clemson will cover.

Agreed. Bet the house. It’ll be 3 scores or more. I’ve already put up 2 rolexes towards it.
