Biggest test for Wake Forest is Clemson & then a damn good Pitt team in the ACC Championship Game

Oklahoma? Somehow still seems to have the refs in their pocket; I guess the money split for bowl payouts is overriding resentment about their departure...

Cincinnati only has SMU as a serious threat

and then we have the B1G - imagine an undefeated Michigan or MI State, or even a 1 loss Ohio State as champion

I am struggling to see two SEC teams make the final cut

I mean, seems like an undefeated Wake would get screwed if all of that happens, but still too many teams worthy of consideration to allow any conference to get a 2nd team in

Last big thing that could be crazy? What if Auburn runs the table and wins the SEC? This is the least likely of all the chaos possibilities; but if it did; the SEC could actually be shut out of the playoffs

No need to worry though; REC would step in to stop it...

probably not; but it would not be that big of a miracle or stretch for them to do so

probably so, which is exactly what I said, with 5 or 6 teams in serious consideration, Wake has little or no shot at being selected

however; they would trump a 1 loss SEC runner up and even a 2 loss SEC Champion...

I don’t see Oklahoma winning out. It’s possible but unlikely. They just can’t get their shite together on defense. They seem to be regressing. If the offense struggles like they did yesterday with this terrible defense against a decent team they will lose.

1. If UGA gets that draw, they'll get the easiest playoff in the history of playoffs.
2. That's not a knock on UGA at all. They're elite and an amazing team.
3. Ohio State and Alabama look like the only teams that could really give UGA a game (but would probably be, minimum, 7 point underdogs).

If Wake Forest wins out they are in. You are crazy if you think a 1 loss team is getting in over them.

I think Wake would be behind a 1 loss SEC and/or B1G champion

A 13-0 undefeated P5 conference champion has a less than 0% chance to miss the playoffs.

If Wake goes undefeated (and they have a great chance to go undefeated) they are in. It's very simple.

undefeated wake is a power 5 conference champion with no losses. they're not getting left out.

Undefeated:

UGA
OK
Cincy
Michigan/MI State
Wake

Deacons get left out IMO

I also think it SHOULD be Cincy or OK

and MAYBE they are in over Spartans, but an undefeated season and ACC Championship does not guarantee they are in, Deacons need to win out and get some help

An ACC undefeated champ is in the FPs unless EDGED out by 4 other undefeated champs

Currently, all P5 and Cincy are on track to have a/be a conference champ with 1 loss or better.

Cincy has to be undefeated, but the CFPs have never selected a non-conf champ over a P5 champ that had an equal or worse loss record.

That won't change this year. For two SEC teams to get in, more chaos needs to ensue over the season.

In that case Cincinnati would be left out.

I mean, yeah…

along with an Auburn win in the IB, this is the UGA wet dream scenario

Yes they have. 2016. Ohio State was selected over a Penn State team who won the Big Ten and BEAT them

No. Osu had 1 loss. PSU had 2.

The non-conf champ had a better L record

Similarly, 2017 OSU is in over Bama if the Buckeyes would have had equal or better loss record than Bama
