5-year-player comes up a few points short.

It’s pathetic that the “worldwide leader” is trying to sell this as some sort of equal accomplishment. CBI bid incoming so everyone can get up in their feels about some ancient athlete that couldn’t hold Pete’s jockstrap

Daddy will buy it for him soon when he forks over $50K of a small school’s budget to limp his undeserving 14-19 team into the postseason…

3 years in d-1 vs 5 years in the Horizon league is not a legit compare even if he took the record. Silly.

Pistol Pete averaged 44 a game! Crazy and unprecedented.

Before the three-point line and before the shot clock too. It’s mind-boggling

Which is nearly 20 points more per game than this Davis clown playing his 5th full season. That ESPN has been pushing him *breaking the record is a joke

He was smooth as peach fuzz. Best college player ever.

I don’t get the rhetoric to this kid. He’s been a 37 percent - 40 percent career three point shooter. The records aren’t comparable but I don’t know why you need to disparage the kid in the process. Congrats to him on a phenomenal career.

Good. That record should stand for all time. He did it without a 3pt shot.

Pete did what he did with not anything near the exposure players have now and everyone knew who he was. I have no idea who the other guy is or where he plays.

Some players carve out their place in history, Pete is certainly one of them.

This might surprised you but the horizon, is, in fact, in division 1.

Interesting note from an article I just read. Despite all the 3 years, no shot clock hand wringing Maravich still took 200 more shots in his career.

Lol, Maravich was averaging 38 shots a game. This dude was under 21. I bet Pete was fun to play with.
