That cant be. UGA lost 4 starters on the OL (or did we?)

Correction: "UGA lost 12 starters on the O-Line and a QB just as good as Joe Burrow. I'll close with 1492, 1776, 1865 and other famous years in history."

So Alabama had the #3 offensive line in the country and #2 in the SEC per PFF and none of the 4 returning starters is a Top 10 OL in the league or has an above average grade per PFF?
Seems strange. I guess Jedrick Wills was a 1 man show.

And with that, PFF loses ALL credibility. Carson Green may be our worst returning lineman.

Not dismissing it, because I think UK had a good line last year, but how much are their grades pumped up because they basically never dropped back to pass the entire second half of the season?

I'd like insight into a lot of the PFF methodology. The list does seem skewed toward players who spent most of their time run blocking.

Tenner fans told me they had the best OL EVER. What gives?

This is a good question. I have nothing to add.

That's true. Although, OTOH, this metric also takes run blocking when everybody and their mother knows you're running the ball.
It goes both ways.

One of the worst things about PFF is that it doesn’t factor in levels of competition into its formula. It looks at outcomes in black and white. Who cares if you steamroll over your FCS opponent if you perform thoroughly mediocre against your in conference opponents?
Some one off big plays can dramatically influence their data points as well.
Some of their metrics are great, but a lot of them are poop.

I'm not saying it's the gospel or anything. Just an actuall off-season topic.

Their "formula" or whatever really is strange. It's like the wr rankings yesterday with the LSU kids. Burrow averaged less than 10 incompletions per game but the percentages of catch/target ratios were lower than his completion percentage. There weren't enough incompletions to go around to get those numbers.
If there were I'd like to see Jefferson, Moss and CEHs numbers. They had to have been astronomical

I’d make the argument that on the flipside they created some pretty big lanes for Bowden and the RBs when everyone in the country was stacking the box and knew the run was coming. They were very, very good at getting that push this last season.

Impressive. It seems like like an 8-4 season isn't out of the question in Kentucky.
