What's the cost for mac? He's demonstrably better than at least 3 of those other qbs

For that group listed I think the far and away obvious answer it Lawrence, Smith, Williams, & Slater.

UDFA apparently, so I went with a steal at $0.

Lance - $1
Smith - $2
Waddle - $3
Williams - $1
Slater - $3

If I'm only choosing one per category:

Lance - $1
Smith - $2
Pitts - $4
Slater - $3

Couple of takeaways:

1. Fields and Lawrence are overpriced.
2. Smith is the best receiver and a hell of a deal at $2.
3. Pitts is the best player in his grouping by a wide margin, but Williams is a deal at a buck.
4. Couldn't sacrifice what I wanted from the other three position groupings to jump up for Sewell, but Slater ain't bad.

Agreed.
It's a bit silly that Smith costs $2. That makes him the most obvious no-brainer.
