From an Arkansas sports reporter/fan site:

quote:

Former Arkansas and NFL RB Peyton Hillis is rumored to be in critical condition after saving his children from drowning in the ocean. His kids are reportedly safe and healthy, but Peyton could use thoughts & prayers!

Hated him for running all over LSU, but hell of a player and big respect for a man willing to do what it takes to protect his family. Hope he improves quickly.

We go to the beach and I’m terrified of this situation. Terrible when it happens.

Rip tide I assume. One almost got me and my kids this summer, and I am not close to his size. Scary shite.

Appears he may have actually saved his sister and her daughter. Yes it was a rip tide.

His uncle posted that he is doing better. Sounds like he will likely make it. Some lung and kidney issues right now.
