Petrino would be good fit at Auburn. He was OC there.

Really?

Well, that changes EVERYTHING!

Unless somehing catastrophic happens to Auburn, Petrino will have a job by the time Chizik is let go.

Tennesse is a much more interesting thought, though. They have a history of hiring scumbags, and the only good man to ever coach them is currently on the hot seat.

It's pretty hard to speculate what next for the guy but its pretty obvious hes too good of a coach to held down long.

sooner or later theres going to be some administration that says "hes a changed man" and "has learned from the error of his ways" or some BS along those lines. And when that happens he'll be back in the SEC

My fearless prediction is he'll be back after a two year break.

Possible suitors:

Auburn (anything to beat the gumps, and with Auburns resources, he could do it)

UT (dooley's got a shelf life)

South Carolina (ole ball coach is getting old)

Wild card pack: Ole Miss (they love questionable characters)

Agreed, but I don't think his return will be in the SEC.

Kentucky has no issues with having a coach like Cal...I'm sure they would have no issues w/ Petrino either. They would love to get back at UL

Have you forgotten about jetgate?

That alone means Petrino can NEVER be hired at AU.

Now that I know he was Auburn's OC, it's clear he's going to Auburn. The OP is a genius.

I can't believe Auburn never tried to get him before now.

Up until now, LSU fans had actually been commenting intelligently about this whole Petrino matter.

Now you've done gone and rurned it.

Great logic and now realize I was wrong. I expect to hear a War Eagle from Petrino soon.

I could see bobby P showing up at several SEC schools. However, when the young lady sells her story Bobby P will be a mere asterisk in the history of the SEC.

Much more likely he'll be singing in the Vienna Boys Choir after Mrs. P emasculates him with a steak knife.

Yep.

And he'll absolutely own college football if that actually happened.
