Perfect master plan for Saban, sans the injuries

Saban accomplished what he wanted yesterday.

Other than the unfortunate injuries, where a small minority few LSU fans inexplicably seemed happy about, everything went to plan for Saban:

1. No rat poison. Kept under the point spread by taking a mercy knee at the 2 yard line

2. OL and DL got pushed around in the interior. Will be able to motivate for future

3. Kept score low enough to ensure #2 ranking next week.

4. All at the same time allowed for LSU fans to feel happy and content with Orgeron. Very similar to the plan he had with Sumlin last month.

So Bama not being awesome is what Saban wants??? You may need to drink some of that rat poison yourself.

He doesn't need them to be awesome against some teams. Needs them to be awesome when needed.

If his team cannot be awesome against a team that lost to Troy, his team cannot be awesome period.

anyone who thinks last night's game is an indication that Bama is not really a great team really doesn't know very much about football.

All this just so he can suck his own dick in the championship game again?

Geez, seems like an awful lot of trouble for nothing.

Saban claims he doesn't watch polls, but I guarantee he knows the results of polls before they are ever released. He is MORE than fine with being ranked #2.

OP is first time I've seen a team claim a moral victory when they actually won the game

No shite, I've never seen fans melt so much after an actual win.

Where is this a "melt"? Complete opposite. Where is this a "moral victory"? No where.

I am simply stating that Saban played the game conservatively enough to win , yet keep his players from getting too big of a head. It's all mind games with him. Plus, he's more than happy to have Orgeron retained at LSU.
