Looks like where they were born, since there is a UTK guy from Canada - Josh Palmer would be my guess - who was born in Canada but went to high school in Florida.

Makes sense.

Ole Miss took a couple off em

Ole Miss is 2-8 in the last 10, have won 2 total against Saban and have won like 10 out of 70 all time. That’s not a close series.

Auburn has won a few

During Saban’s time at Alabama, LSU has won 4 times and Auburn 5 times.

Like he said, Clemson is the only program who has been very competitive over time

Y’all are lightyears away from .500

Everyone but Clemson is

There are only 4 schools that have two or more wins against Saban at Alabama. LSU is one of them

Bammers are crazy insecure and need to be reassured every 20 seconds.

Florida would have a lower amount, because it might have inflated numbers due to IMG and other sports academies bringing in players from other states

What other "academies?"

You guys sure are hooked on "per capita" rankings. Its an unbelievably silly way to gauge HS talent that goes on to the NFL.

Cherry picking at its finest...right after LSU had the most players in its history drafted in '20 and '21 ( yes I get all weren't skill players from LA)

Because per capita doesn't really mean shite and they can't keep many of them in state because it's fricking Louisiana and nobody wants to live there.

Per capita seems a useless quantification in this case no?

Could have something to do with bama winning the National Championship 5 times in the last 10 years and typically recruits a top 1 or 2 class annually.
You act like other teams consistently beat bama, who besides Clemson has fared .500 or better in the last 10 years.

Does it bother you that Ole Miss has twice as many wins against Alabama as LSU over the past 10 years?

The only thing close to ".500", is how often LSU gets shut out against Alabama in your home state in recent history.

You seem oddly triggered by this thread created by an Alabama fan, linking an unbiased source.

I’d like to see a regional breakdown. That New Orleans/Baton Rouge area looks like a hot bed. The Dade County and Tampa Areas look like hot beds as well.

It is an interesting stat, but it doesn't really translate beyond that.

Alabama has more top rated recruits overall per state, but Louisiana has more per capita. Which state do you want to recruit from more? The one with the more overall recruits. Which in this case is still pretty close, but it just kind of highlights because nobody is talking about Alabama in terms of a top talent state.

Which is why California, Texas and Florida are the pipeline states everyone wants to be recruiting in.

So as much as it would be fun to give LSU shite for the perception that they have so much talent and can't benefit from it, it's not really true.

I don't understand the controversy over "per capita."

How is that not a valid metric?

I wasn’t implying this and LA definitely has talent every year. But, if say Vermont has the most per capita it doesn’t really matter because it’s still less, a lot less, than other states and “in state” recruiting is traditionally how it’s broken down. I’d be more interested in seeing regional breakdowns in state where other out of state big schools are closer than the big in state school.
