What’s funny is that if they played in the ACC, they’re probably 10-2 or 11-1. If the latter, they’re making a case for the playoffs by arguing that their only loss was to the defending national champion that hasn’t lost in almost two full seasons.

The fact that Jimbo couldn’t win in the weak arse ACC after Jameis “FHRITP” Winston left is a bigger indictment on his coaching ability than this past season given their schedule. They won all the games they were supposed to win, lost all the games they were supposed to lose and were 1-1 in games that realistically could’ve gone either way. Not great, but not 3-9 bad either.

So Orgeron is Chizech 2.0. Don’t think Chizech went 6 and 2, 9 and 4, 10 and 3 his first 34 games. Then 15 and 0.

So Orgeron was 25 and 9 at LSU before a national, champ season.

Chizch was 8 and 5

Chizech and Auburn took on a known cheater.. for one year.

Don’t recall Auburn having great recruiting classes either.

In their defense, Clemson is in the same division.

Chizik could have been very successful , but he tried to change the style of Offense when Gus left. Hard to change overnight when you recruited to a different style for four years.

Chizik brought in Lefty and 'Stache for Coordinators and hired security to babysit the players and enforce curfew. His players hated that shite and literally laid down and gave up on him in 2012.

Chizik let too many people (Tim Jackson/Wayne Bolt) act as hall monitors instead of running his own program. He was more worried about the details like lining up helmets correctly than putting a competitive team on the field.

Chizik is right where he needs to be, I think he is the best football analyst in the business and he worked the booth for play-by-play in one of the bowls and he was fantastic. I'd take him any day over Gary Danielson.

Did the same to Chief. Rock solid Ds at Tennessee and LSU, A&M destroyed his career.

If Gene would have hired someone who ran a similar Offense to what Gus ran, he could have survived the 2012 season. Gene wasn't comfortable being a HC yet and tried to hire a DC that he thought could run the Defense. Gene has proven he can coach a Defense, but he had no clue about the Offense. I think he depended on others to tell him who to hire. Gene was also burnt by the behavior of some of his players and again was talked into some bad policy decisions. I still think he is a good coach, but he had to learn to be his own man. If he could have survived the 2012 season, I think he would still be there.

And the happy ending will be when Jimbo removes the will to win from that program and runs off to another job.

This isn’t changing anytime soon.

Bear Bryant had one losing season in his career, and it was at that shite hole.

Jimbo out-recruited Dabo every year by a relevant margin. Here are how their classes ranked nationally:

2010 FSU 8 Clem 27
2011 FSU 2 Clem 10
2012 FSU 3 Clem 20
2013 FSU 11 Clem 15
2014 FSU 4 Clem 16
2015 FSU 3 Clem 9
2016 FSU 3 Clem 11
2017 FSU 6 Clem 16

Sorry, but that's national top 6 classes every year but 2. If you can't run your division with that talent differential, it's definitely a coaching problem.

Jimbo is an elite recruiter, but an average coach.
