Penalty margins in SEC games since 2012... our favorite "club" at it again?

Of course a positive number means the team was called for more penalties and/or more penalty yards per game.
I've sorted it from most penalized to least penalized.
Penalty Margin per Game
1. Florida: 1.20
2. Georgia: 0.98
3. Alabama: 0.73
4. LSU: 0.68
5. Missouri: 0.32
6. Mississippi State: 0.21
7. Arkansas: 0.14
8. Tennessee: -0.23
9. Ole Miss: -0.34
10. Texas A&M: -0.43
11. Auburn: -0.46
12. Kentucky: -0.70
13. South Carolina: -0.91
14. Vanderbilt: -1.20
Penalty Yard Margin per Game
1. Georgia: 10.09
2. Florida: 10.04
3. Alabama: 8.25
4. LSU: 5.70
5. Arkansas: 0.71
6. Auburn: 0.70
7. Mississippi State: 0.14
8. Missouri: -0.38
9. Tennessee: -3.39
10. Texas A&M: -3.54
11. Kentucky: -3.55
12. Ole Miss: -5.34
13. South Carolina: -9.50
14. Vanderbilt: -9.93
It's obvious that the National Commodore Club & Gamecock Club run the SEC. Move the damn offices!

This is totally what's going on. It's subconscious.
If the game is lopsided the refs are hesitant to call penalties on the team getting crushed and more likely to call them on the team doing the crushing.

And total penalties can be skewed with a few flags late in a blowout or vs a cupcake.
