So we’re just making things up now because we’re bored?

I pity his shirt and sport coat if he did ever have to make this decision.

Pacing, scrunched facial expressions, and nervous sweating for days.

I love Bruce Pearl but NBA players would HATE him. And I think he knows that.

6 years Iowa as an assistant
9 years at Southern Indiana (job upgrade)
4 years at Milwaukee (job upgrade)
4 years at UT (lateral move) where you fired him
5 years at Auburn. (Job upgrade)

Where are you seeing him unwilling to stay somewhere? Every job he took was a promotion except the Milwaukee to Tennessee one. That was a wash and I am still not sure why he did that but everybody makes mistakes.

You really got me UW-M to Tennessee being a lateral move.

Auburn was considered a bottom 2 job in the SEC when Pearl went there. He begged for just about every other decent job leading up to it.

I mean Tennessee has a good coach who hasn’t ever really won anything.

Be happy.

If you just go by the returning roster at the time, yes, but not as an athletic department committed to winning. Auburn has won championships in multiple sports. There are other SEC programs that haven’t been near as successful. Plus, it had major potential in basketball being located between Birmingham/Montgomery/Mobile, Memphis and Atlanta.

Well, it seems as if he found a home and he can be as successful as he wants to be at Auburn. He has all the tools at his disposal to compete at the highest level. I’ll let you know when’s the next BBQ..
