I think that they openly stated what the punishment was is a big deal. SEC doesn’t do that.

How in the hell did the official who flagged Cal not correct the error when they marked it off against WSU? That is crazy.

Why don't the big conferences nut up and pay officials 6 figures to do their job?

Most of these dudes have day jobs and they are officiating games that have billion dollar implications.

Pay them to be full time and in the off season they study tape, study the rules and hold them accountable.

Read what they did. shite like assessing penalties on the wrong team, not missing holding calls or shitty PI penalties.

Because NFL refs make mistakes as well (i.e. the Rams vs Saints playoff game).

Issues are happening all over the country. if I was in charge I would incorporate something similar to MLB in which both teams get one challenge in a game. If a team challenges and wins, they keep theIr challenge. If they lose, they forfeit their challenge. If a coach asks for a challenge with xx number of minutes left in the game and the call is not overturned, the team could lose a time out, there could be a time runoff, or they could receive a penalty,

A ref crew working the CAl-WSU game was probably their #4 or 5 crew. Probably have had other issues in other games.

We proved how you have to do it to get fair officiating at Bryant Denny last weekend.

Takes a shitload of Federal agents with live snipers all over the place watching the game.
