14 players who played in the LSU-Bama 2011 game went on to be first round picks. For Bama: Richardson, Barron, Kirkpatrick, Hightower, Warmack, Fuller, Clinton-Dix, Mosley, Milliner. For LSU: Reid, Claiborne, Brockers, OBJ, Mingo.

When all is said and done, will this years matchup top that number? My guess is yes.

Virtual locks: Burrow, Tua, Jeudy, Delpit, Ruggs, Fulton

Potentials: Leatherwood, Wills, Davis, Chaisson, Jennings, Diggs, Lewis

Underclassmen who aren’t eligible but Look like first rounders:
Chase, Stingley, Surtain,

Bama folks will have to correct me if I missed anyone or I’m wrong about someone.

That’s 17 listed above and There will undoubtedly be other LSU-Bama non-eligible guys who will play and eventually go round 1.

(Edit: I am not counting 2020/2021 guys above unless they look like sure things. So much can happen between now and those drafts and there will probably be guys we aren't even thinking of who end up going round 1 in those drafts. But I will list those here)
Underclassmen potentials:
Marshall, Harris

That's a pretty solid list and I agree. Lewis is a senior, though.

From our side would add Waddle and McKinney as potentials, and if he keeps on his trajectory Christian Harris.

If this was a legitimate bet then I would take the under. All of those guys have the talent but there is bound to be injuries, character issues, measurables that inevitably cause players to slide for moronic reasons.

For LSU, Marshall and Stevens have first round potential when eligible. Stevens is a Junior and is arguably one of our top defensive player this year.

Not sure about LSU but for Bama in additional to the guys you listed I think the following have a shot at 1st round:

Xavier McKinney
Dylan Moses (injury may have cost him though)
Waddle
Terrell Lewis is rising but injury concerns may keep him out of 1st round.

ETA: Oops didn't see you already had Ruggs on there.

Too early to tell for most of the freshmen and sophomores.

Don’t see how Terrace Marshall isn’t a member of the potential first rounders

Wills, Chaisson, Jennings are probably not first rounders. Not sure who Davis is, such a common name that it’s slipping my mind. Evan Neal has a good chance at being a first rounder one day though. I’d put Devonta Smith in the potentials list, he’ll put up a good time in the speed and agility drills

Forgot Trent Richardson. For as bad as he was in the NFL, he still counts as a 1st rounder.

He isn't eligible. I only included a few of the non-eligible guys towards the count because there is so much time and so much can change with the 2020 and 2021 guys. I don't think he's at the virtual lock level that I was going for with those guys.

I'll agree on marshall but not Stevens. He is great and I love him but he wont be a 1st round pick

Raekwon is just a guy. Probably the most multi-year overhyped player of the Saban era relative to production.

I'd be shocked if he went in the 1st round.

He might be, I can't remember with all his injuries. Either way he's gone after this year, especially if he finishes it healthy.

That number may have already been topped since then. From the 2016 Alabama/LSU game Alabama alone had 11 1st rounders play:

Marlon Humphrey, Jonathan Allen, OJ Howard, Reuben Foster, Minkah Fitz, Daron Payne, Rashaan Evans, Calvin Ridley, Jonah Williams, Josh Jacobs, Trevon Diggs* (*projected 1st round) (Quinnen Williams was red-shirting, so he doesn't count)

LSU had at least 4 (which would make at least 15 1st rounders from the 2016 game):

Leonard Fournette, Jamal Adams, Tre'Davious White, Devin White

Definitely more on offense this go round.

I think it ends up playing out similar to Auburn game, close game in the 20's or low 30's

He is eligible to play next yr. The 20 million dollar question is..does an NFL team risk a top draft pick on a guy that has all the measurements and seemingly has the mindset BUT is a RS Jr that has only played fewer games than an NFL season while in tusacloosa.? He missed some time earlier...though he could have played but wansnt needed. Point is....is it a guarantee that he is gone? Knowing that if he stays AND stays healthy...he will be a top 5 pick
