If an actual offer is made, and made public by Auburn (not leaked on social media by “anonymous sources”) then and only then we know Lane is coming to Auburn. As of today all we know for sure is:
1. Auburn has not offered anything
2. Lane has not accepted anything
3. Talks are going on between Sexton & AU
4. Lane is open to considering an offer from AU
What we don’t know is:
1. Will Auburn make an offer?
2. Will Lane accept the offer if/when it comes?

BS to the enth degree. The NCAA is the judicial arm of college athletics.....not conferences.
ETA Pearl is the poster child for that. He got a show-cause in this conference at another school. Auburn went through the NCAA to hire him........the SEC had no say-so.

Lumber prices are falling rapidly but that aside, Auburn either doesn't have the money to compete in the NIL world or Auburn boosters withold the cash if the program isn't run the way they want it to be.
Not sure which is worse, but neither is good.
