Man, and before their season is over. Something is not right about the timing of coaching changes.

Any offensive lineman that might be available this Saturday around 2:30? Could also use a running back or three.

I think it might be time for them to look at changing the signing day for recruiting. This early signing period really screws things up for schools with coaching changes. Should go back to just having signing day in Fevbruary with no early signing.

McClellan out for year, Roydell Williams out for year, Cam Wheaton out for year, Brian Robinson most likely out for game. Trey Sanders not 100% after car wreck and surgery but has to start. Really haven’t seen anything like it. 1 scholarship back available.

LSU will probably double that when the players meet Kelly.

Blame it on early signing day. It really did screw a lot of things up.

It’s all about the early signing period. If it was pushed back to Feb, this wouldn’t be happening. But it’s not going to happen because it’s nice having a class wrapped up by December then just cherry picking who to spend more time with.

As long as the NCAA keeps the early signing period this is going to keep happening. Pre early signing you could wait until the bowls were over and still be able to hire a new coach who could pull together a decent recruiting class.

That all ended when early signing in December. It instantly made it program suicide to wait until the season is over to hire a coach. Teams simply cannot afford to wait b/c it completely destroys a full year of recruiting. Coaches see that too and would rather bail early than take a new job in a way that makes failure more likely.
