As long as this game is close, the loser is in. Don’t see a Pac12 champ getting in over 11-1 LSU/Bama

Clemson is not being left out if they go unbeaten.

OU will be in over Utah no matter if they win out. Oregon might be a toss up.

Baylor wins out and jumps everyone no matter the scenario

2 points:

(1) If bama loses, we have less ground to stand on than LSU would. Still possible but, IMO, unlikely that bama would get in with a loss.

(2) Both teams have more games to play after this one, and even the winner could trip up before, or in, Atlanta.

Head of the committee is Oregon's AD.

Under your scenario, 12-1 Oregon is #4.

They have to get the west coast interested or the entire Pacific Time Zone may just quit College Football altogether.

Also very telling is AU and UF still in the top 10.

If OSU & LSU both lose the big division matchups, I'm not so sure LSU would get in over OSU (based on the initial rankings).

You can say this 1000 times and it's still not true.

The 4th spot will be a coin flip between the Bama/LSU loser and the Ohio State/Penn State loser. And frankly, I don't like our chances in that situation.

OU would crush either PAC12 poser. Committee loaded with PAC12 sympathizers
..OU is screwed.

I give the West coast credit about one thing. When they say they don’t give a shite about something, they are sticking to that. Los Angeles has two NFL franchises now, after 23 years without a team. Only one of them really matters because there are rumblings that the Chargers could end up across the pond in London. These owners are wealthy but they sure make some moronic decisions about their important business assets

Wow, really going out on a limb there. Didn’t you just list most of the top 10?

I think OU would beat Utah but not so sure about Oregon. Cristobal has that team playing really good on offense and defense. I mean, I know USC is down this year. But they are still damn tough at the coliseum and Oregon was up nearly 40 in that game. That’s not easy to do no matter how bad USCw is playing

Agree..that extra SEC Champ game could be a thorn in either Bama or LSU’s side, whichever team wins... a loss there could cost either team a spot in the playoffs especially to a 1 loss Georgia team...

Styles make fights and Oregon is not losing to a Jalen Hurts - led OU team.

A couple of thoughts. OU will likely pass Utah with a win vs Iowa State. OU will certainly pass Oregon with a win vs Baylor top 10 hopefully next week. Then we play Oklahoma State ranked. Big 12 championship win vs a ranked team. OUs hardest games are still in front. Oregon and Utah only play each other.
