Bizarrely you are better off to lose a close game in Baton Rouge and skip SEC championship game just like last year

No it doesn't. If Ohio State wins out they get in over Bama. Oklahoma or Michigan (if they bumped OSU out) would also get in if they win out over Bama.

Only a two loss conference champ winner would be left out this year. That's what happened to OSU last year.

You should thank Missouri! Missouri beat Purdue at Purdue and Beat Memphis by 32 points and UCF beat Memphis by 1 point!

Look, I hate the Gumps as much as anyone, but that ain't happening. Bama is the defending champ. They get preferential treatment that no other team gets.

Just the facts.

You're welcome. When Ohio State loses they leave no doubt that they lost.

Not if Bama loses to LSU or Auburn or the SEC championship, and OSU wins out. They would have a Big 10 champ win and a win over UM. Michigan is in the same boat.

I don't think it happens either way... Bama may not get tested all year.

That was shocking. Not so much that they lost but they got their asses handed to them by Perdue.

I don’t want Bamamlosing any game but You can’t lose by 29 points to an unranked team. Plus Bama got in last year at four without a conf championship and made good on it and crushed Clemson and beat Georgia whereas Ohio a state got the same opportunity and was embarrassed by Clemson. Bama may and has earned the benefit of the doubt considering their success in the CFP and CFb in general over the last ten years. The only reason to leave them out now assuming a close loss away to a top three team would be because the rest of you don’t think it’s fair they win it every other year.

A one-loss Bama with no championship is behind every other one-loss conference champ and undefeated Notre Dame.

Hocutt isn't running it anymore.

What does this have to do with anything?

Which is exactly what Bama did last year. Letting a team like Ohio State in after losing by 29 to an unranked team would be a travesty.

Why are you even concerned with this? Alabama won another natty once Saban realized Tua needed to play over his bff. I’ve never been more certain of a championship winning team than I am of this bama team & Golden State. The season is being played for second place.

Well, they were placed in that tournament despite failing to win one on the field.

But proved the committee right by indeed winning it on the field.

Please show me where one has to win a conference championship to be in the playoffs.

I'll wait.
