All it means is they're a 5 star prospect according to every recruiting service. I actually don't mind the title. It clears things up and shows guys that are (in theory) the absolute best of the best.

According to them…”5 star+“ means they are a 5 star according to every recruiting site. Congrats to arch manning I’m sure he earned it.

This. As soon as the non-compete clause ends he starts up another one. It blows my mind that people just accept this guys' newest platform each time like it's another competitor in the market, when it's just the same dude getting rich over and over again ha. I 1000000% guanranTEE you that about a decade from now, there will all of a sudden be a new challenger in the market that'll just be the newest thing from this guy.

On3 was created and is run by Shannon Terry, aka Lucky. He's a Bammer and was a founding partner in Alliance Sports in the 90s, which was the first group of SEC college football websites. Later he partnered with a guy from out west and and made Rivals the leading source (at the time) on college football. Still later he founded 247, and now On3.
edit to say that On3 has a lot of newish "sports journalists". Prolific content doesn't always = quality content, but the're building a subscription base, so whatever. Never let it be said the guy doesn't know how to make money. Interesting that Alliance Sports, the best of them all imo, failed a few years into it (2000) and bit the dust. Some people would have given up after that, but he was just getting started.

So it's something they've come up with... interesting. Sounds like something that may be adopted by other sites. Guessing it's a rarity.... until other 5* players get their feelings hurt.
