Once UT and OU enter the SEC does A$M…..

stay or do they look for new conference to bring the “Texas market” to? Does the SEC need them anymore? Does UT pressure the SEC to drop them? I mean A$M was invited for one reason, the Texas TV market. Why do they stay and will their inevitable departure be voluntary or involuntary?

SEC should just kick A&M to the curb and let Jimbo stay since he has all of A&M’s money now. Win/Win.

Next year the Big 10 will be making more than the SEC with that massive TV deal.

I could see A$M reaching out to the Big 10. They are relegated to SEC bottom tier and in their simple minds they could dominate the Big 10. Big 10 would get the Texas market(little do they know all they’d get is College Station mkt). And it would begin anew for A$M, a new conference to embarrass and to stink up.

The Big 10 only wants top tier academic flagship universities.

The SEC is poor compared to the B1G. In athletic and academic monies.

We’re gonna move the campus to Lake Charles and recruit in-state against LSU. Even start saying we can cook Cajun food better than LSU!

Happy Thanksgiving!

This. Texas and Florida are the only qualifiers.

Vandy is academically, but not so much in the sports arena.

A&M is a really good school though. People talk about them adding Washington and oregon… A&M is better than both, as much as I hate them

Then do us a favor go the big 10. To compare the big 10 to the SEC is laughable. See you dumb frick shorthorn, they are both athletic conferences and in football nobody is in the same stratosphere as the SEC. fricking idiot. This was meant as an insult to A$M and the big 10 and only an imbecile would get confused.

Local markets are so overblown in CFB now that every game is on TV somewhere. It’s all about the brands, the matchups.

Does the SEC need them anymore?

God, I hate you snobby fricks that think like this. We invited them, they’ve contributed in many ways besides simple football wins—actually I could argue they’ve contributed by being a mediocre football program that allows the elites of the conference beat them and stay there.

Does UT pressure the SEC to drop them?

frick no!!! We’re not gonna let Texas come hop on the SEC bandwagon and start making demands like they did the the Big 12. They will be sitting at the kiddie’s table taking whatever we give them up until they build up some equity. But there’s no way Sankey lets them come in and starting making demands against ANY of the current members, especially the founding ones.

It was to expand the SEC footprint into Texas. Now, that footprint gets even bigger with UT and OU.

quote:

Why do they stay

They make more money in the SEC, and the SEC makes more money with them in it.

quote:

will their inevitable departure be voluntary or involuntary?

Well, it’s anything but inevitable, because it’s not going to happen. And when’s the last time a P5 conference just told a school to gtfo? I would imagine there would be litigation over hundreds of millions of dollars.

This thread just fricking chugs cock. Embarrassing from an LSU fan.
